Make it Better

The fashion industry is full of wasteful and harmful processes, and many of us struggle to find good quality clothes that fit diverse bodies. The aim of this project was to work with accessible tools and techniques to upcycle worn or unloved clothing.

Using embroidery, potato printing, and simple machine alterations, we transformed clothes from the back of the wardrobe into garments that can be worn for years to come. Once learned, these techniques can be used again and again to support a more sustainable wardrobe, saving money and reducing the number of items sent to landfill.
