Creative embassies is a network of artists across small cities in Europe, the 2025 edition teamed up with Arcadia’s 100-day celebration in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. Through discussion and creative activities, myself and other artists explored the theme of creative embassies, creating space to create, connect, and re-energise. 

The residency culminated in a celebratory day of public engagement, with artists sharing interactive activities including trading, making decorations, and hosting participatory ceremonies throughout the day. My part involved introducing the ceremonies, and holding drop-in creative workshops aimed as sparking connection through stories and art. 

The day included many meaningful conversations, including several participants sharing their difficult experiences and health concerns. It was moving to see the support freely given, across different backgrounds, generations, and languages.
